Each year, CEAM honors the special achievements of engineers and recognizes outstanding engineering projects. CEAM announced the winners of the 2024 Awards Program at the CEAM 2025 Annual Conference.
Engineer of the Year
The Engineer of the Year Award recognizes the contributions and accomplishments of outstanding engineers across the state.
2024 Engineer of the Year:
The City Engineers Association of Minnesota (CEAM) is proud to recognize Chad Millner, Engineering Director for the City of Edina, as the recipient of the 2024 Engineer of the Year Award. This prestigious award honors Chad for his outstanding leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to advancing municipal engineering to improve communities across Minnesota.

Project of the Year
Each year, CEAM’s Project of the Year Awards honor innovative municipal projects that advance infrastructure, transportation, and environmental sustainability across the state. The 2024 honorees serve as outstanding examples of how thoughtful engineering and strategic investments can create safer, more connected, and resilient communities.

The City Engineers Association of Minnesota (CEAM) is proud to recognize the four 2024 Project of the Year Award recipients. These municipal projects demonstrate engineering excellence, innovation, and lasting community impact. These projects showcase how strategic infrastructure investments can improve transportation, revitalize public spaces, and enhance quality of life for residents.

- Transportation: City of Chaska, Highway 41 Reconstruction Project
- Non-transportation: City of Fergus Falls, Downtown Riverfront improvements
