Glenn Olson, City of Marshall, received the 2007 CEAM Engineer of the Year Award

Glenn Olson, Marshall director of public works/city engineer, was selected as the CEAM Engineer of the Year Award winner for 2007. The award was presented during the CEAM 2008 Annual Conference.

Since 2001, Glenn has contributed his outstanding technical engineering expertise and an engaging, collaborative leadership style as director of public works/city engineer with the City of Marshall.

He also serves as director of the municipal airport and provides leadership to all public works and building inspection staff.

Glenn has had a hand in directing and overseeing many large projects in the city, including the airport expansion, wastewater treatment facility improvements, Main Street reconstruction, storm water management projects, sanitary sewer replacement, comprehensive infrastructure plan for community growth, and numerous other projects.

His boundless energy, attention to detail, ability to lead and delegate, knowledge of engineering, and knack for involving the community are the foundation for his success on city projects and in public service.

CEAM Awards program
The City Engineers Association of Minnesota each year presents the Engineer of the Year Award and the Project of the Year Award during the CEAM Annual Conference. The 2008 awards will be presented Jan. 28-30, 2009.
